Ten art teachers met on November 14th, 2009 at Andrea Aeschliman's home in Leavenworth, KS. Seven of the teachers were from northeast Kansas and three from northwest Missouri. Each teacher brought a lesson plan or two to share, along with an example of the finished project for participants to see and photograph. Lesson plans included Symmetrical Name Fish, Turkey Disguises, Foldables, Pumpkin Pie on a Plate, Imaginary Clay Friends, and much more! Everyone brought a snack to share so there was a lot of collaboration time and professional learning going on! This meeting is held annually in the fall after the KAEA and MAEA fall conferences. If you are interested in joining us next year, contact Andrea at aaeschliman@easton449.org for more information.
